Microsoft Dynamics NAV manages the manufacturing process using Routings and Work or Machine Centres.  

When the raw materials enter your production facility they go via the designated routing from work cente to work centre eventually resulting in the finished product.

Through each phase of production (or each work centre) you are able to add values to the cost of the product.  Your are also able to manage by-products from the manufacturing process.

Raw Materials are trasferred into the production facility via a warehouse transfer.  This ensures accurate inventory control and allows for segregation of duties.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV facilitates multi level Bill of Materials to cater for the more complex production processes, and the capacity planning feature ensures that the production facility is always running at optimum levels.
